The Independent Seal of CCRC Quality

What does it mean when an independent expert evaluates your organization by more than 1,000 different criteria — from your financial stability to the quality of your health care services? What does it mean when you meet or exceed the toughest standards?

For a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), it means everything, because you have earned accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, CARF, the non-profit authority that officially certifies a CCRC for quality, across the board. Seven of our retirement communities are CARF accredited and our newest community, The Moorings at Lewes, is in the process of gaining CARF accreditation.

That designation has to be earned, over and over again. It confirms what residents and employees tell us in satisfaction ratings, year after year: They treasure the way of life they’ve found at our communities.
