Kenyette Walters, LPN at The Moorings at Lewes Appointed to Vice President, Delaware Board of Nursing

Lewes, Delaware – November 19, 2021 – The Moorings at Lewes is proud to announce Kenyette Walters, Licensed Practical Nurse at The Moorings at Lewes, has been appointed Vice President of the Delaware Board of Nursing.

The primary objective of the Delaware Board of Nursing is to protect public health, safety and welfare. To safeguard life and health, the Board develops standards for professional competency, promulgates rules and regulations, adjudicates complaints against professionals, and imposes disciplinary sanctions when necessary. In addition, the Board issues licenses to registered nurses (RNs), practical nurses (LPNs) and advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs).

In 2012, Ms. Walters completed nursing school and obtained her LPN license from Polytech Adult Education. Her experience includes charge nurse and dementia programming for a large long term care program, assisted living supervisor, and admissions nurse. She is a member of the National Council of Certified Dementia Care Practitioners (NCCDP) and specializes in geriatric psychology, dementia, and behavioral health. In addition, she teaches clinical instruction for a medical assistance program at Polytech Adult Education. Nurse Walters has been serving The Moorings at Lewes since January 2019.
