The Moorings at Lewes Recognized as 2025 ‘Best Nursing Home’ by U.S. News & World Report
The Moorings at Lewes has been recognized as a 2025 “Best Nursing Home” for short-term rehabilitation by U.S. News & World Report. This premiere Life Plan Community is affiliated with Springpoint and offers a continuum of care that includes independent living, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing.
This evaluation rated nearly 15,000 nursing homes nationwide. The latest edition recognizes fewer than 20% of those facilities as “Best Nursing Homes” in “Short-Term Rehabilitation,” “Long-Term Care,” or both.
There are currently 44 nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities throughout the state of Delaware. The Moorings is among a distinguished group to receive an overall high-performance rating of 3 out of 3 in short-term rehabilitation.
To calculate these ratings, U.S. News evaluated each facility’s performance using a variety of quality measures obtained from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This ratings methodology factors in several aspects of quality including resident care, safety, medical outcomes, data on nurse staffing levels, consistency and retention, and success in preventing ER visits.
This independent survey of The Moorings’ healthcare program reaffirms the work excellence of the community’s clinical staff and rehabilitation team. Six other Springpoint communities –The Atrium at Navesink Harbor, Meadow Lakes, The Oaks at Denville, Stonebridge at Montgomery, Village Point Rehabilitation & Healthcare, and Winchester Gardens – were also recognized in this 2025 evaluation.
