The Moorings at Lewes Shines Spotlight on Local Artist

In our commitment to embracing creativity and enhancing the lives of our residents and the surrounding community, The Moorings at Lewes is proud to host Wine and Cheese Art Receptions featuring local artists.

On October 25th, artist Gwen Michel will be in the spotlight. An avid painter since her youth, Gwen became fully engaged in painting with mainly oils as well as watercolors. Drawing from inspiration of her family vacations along the Atlantic Coast and her husband’s operations on a lobster boat, water is the primary theme of her works.

These receptions are open to the public and offer an opportunity for guests to view works on display. Wine and refreshments will be served. Artwork will also be available for purchase.

Throughout the year, The Moorings at Lewes partners with local-area arts organizations to host meetings, workshops, lectures and exhibits for the enjoyment of residents and the public, including these art receptions.
