Quick Summary: The Moorings at Lewes offered a COVID-19 vaccine clinic to help residents access vaccination within their community and support a safe senior living environment. On-site vaccination clinics can make it more convenient for older adults to receive recommended vaccines without arranging separate appointments or transportation. Community-based healthcare services can also help residents stay informed about preventive health measures. Providing convenient access to vaccinations reflects the importance of supporting resident health and well-being in senior living.
The Moorings at Lewes, a Springpoint community, offered a COVID-19 vaccine clinic to staff and residents to help protect our community from this virus. Consistent with regulatory guidance, Springpoint has selected Walgreens to manage distribution and immunization for our residents and employees.
As we manage our response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the safety and health of our residents and staff remains our top priority. From the beginning of this health crisis, our actions have been guided by our healthcare professionals and medical directors, in compliance with mandates from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as the State and local departments of Health. Our goal is to provide open communication to the greatest degree possible so we can keep residents, families and staff members informed.
